For all you lazy folks out there who’d rather listen to hip-hop than read a book,
Detroit Red should find it’s way into your hip-hop collection.
Mickey has a knack for presenting songs in formats that are dope but retain a bit of knowledge so that you feel like you actually LEARN as you listen. It’s not for everyone (because for some, ignorance is bliss), but for those that like intelligence in the raps, Mickey delivers.
THE REDEFINED
Factz is quick on his feet lyrically with world class metaphors, a nimble delivery (rapid fire at times) and of course rhymes and wordplay for days, and his syllabus has plenty of good subject matter to study up on too.
#Ynot delivers some solid production, even experimenting with different genres like House (as heard on the mixtape cut “Radio?Active”). The track that stands out the most to us would probably be “Love?,” which mixes nice wordplay with a soulful, chill-back instrumental. The end result is a project thats respectable more-so than remarkable.
